About us

One free request, many lenders, and plain-language guides

We run a free request form that passes your personal loan request to lenders in our network, and we write clear guides so you can judge any offer before you sign.

Our mission: fewer forms, clearer choices

Our mission is to let people searching for today cash options describe their need once, reach several lenders through one free form, and get clear information to compare any offer they receive.

Shopping for a small personal loan used to mean visiting lender after lender, typing the same income and address details each time,. A single request removes that repetition. Whether the need is a $500 car repair before the next paycheck or $5,000 to replace two high-rate credit card balances, the starting point is the same short form.

A quick answer is only useful when it is an informed one. That is why the site pairs the request form with guides on typical APR ranges by credit tier, basic eligibility requirements and repayment, so you can tell a reasonable offer from an expensive one before you commit.

How the connector works

Our request form collects the basic details lenders need, such as the amount, your income and your contact information, then securely passes that request to lenders in our network that may be able to help.

  • You choose an amount between $500 and $5,000 and tell us what the money is for.
  • Lenders in the network review the request against their own criteria; many return a decision within minutes of a completed request.
  • If a lender can make an offer, you see its terms on the lender's own page, including APR, fees, term and monthly payment.
  • If approved and you sign, funds often arrive by direct deposit as soon as the next business day, sometimes the same day, depending on the lender, your bank and when you finish.

You are never obligated to accept an offer. Declining costs nothing, and you can close the page and keep researching. For a stage-by-stage walkthrough with timing estimates, see how our request process works.

Who writes our guides

Three contributors with long experience in consumer credit and household budgeting write and review the educational content on this site, and each guide is checked against the figures we publish before it goes live.

  • Ingrid Sorensen, Senior Consumer Credit Writer, has 18 years of experience explaining loan pricing, credit reports and borrower rights in everyday language.
  • Maribel Hollister, Lending Research Analyst, brings 18 years of experience studying lender requirements, APR ranges and state rules, and maintains the rate tables used across our pages.
  • Arturo Mbeki, Debt & Budgeting Contributor, has 14 years of experience helping households plan repayment, weigh debt consolidation and build a budget with room for a loan payment.

Our writers do not decide which lenders join the network, and lender compensation does not change what the guides say about cost, risk or alternatives. When a cheaper path exists, such as a payment plan from a utility company or a small loan from a credit union, the guides say so plainly.

What we are not

We are not a lender. We do not review credit, make loan decisions, set rates or terms, or send money to anyone; every one of those steps belongs to the lender you choose.

  • Not a bank, credit union or government program.
  • Not an agent who negotiates terms on your behalf.
  • Not a credit repair or debt settlement company.
  • Not a source of approval: no one can promise a loan before a lender reviews a complete request.

Because we never hold your loan, questions about a payment, a due date or an account balance go to the lender named in your agreement. If you are unsure who that is, we are glad to point you in the right direction through our contact page.

05

How we are paid

Using the request form is free for you. We earn compensation from lenders and lending networks when a request is matched or a loan is funded, as explained in full in our advertiser disclosure.

Compensation can influence which lenders receive a request and the order in which offers appear, but it never changes the APR, fees or terms a lender sets for you. Read the details in our advertiser and lending disclosure.

06

Standards we hold ourselves to

Every rate, payment and timing figure on the site is labeled as an estimate, because real terms depend on the lender, your state and your own credit and income profile.

  • Representative example: a $1,000 loan over 18 months at 27.99% APR works out to about $68.67 a month and $1,236.06 in total, including $236.06 in interest.
  • We describe speed honestly: if you need cash today, a same-day deposit is possible with some lenders but can never be promised.
  • We publish no invented reviews, testimonials or borrower stories.
  • We protect request data with encryption in transit and share it only as described in our privacy policy.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Is the request form the same as a loan application?

Not quite. The form gathers the details lenders need to decide whether to make an offer. If a lender responds, it may ask you to finish its own application, confirm your identity or link a bank account before final approval.

Can I choose which lenders see my request?

Matches are based on your amount, state and profile, so you cannot pick individual lenders inside the form. You can still decline any offer you receive.
