What happens after you send a today cash request?
Your today cash request goes to lenders in our network whose criteria fit your state, amount and profile. A lender that can help shows an offer or sends you to its site; if none match, you are told.
- Submit the formFill in the short request above with your amount, purpose, income and contact details. Most people finish in about five minutes.
- Lenders review your requestLenders in the network look at your details, often with a soft inquiry that does not affect your credit score. Many return a decision within minutes.
- Review any offerIf a lender can help, you see its APR, term, monthly payment and fees, usually on the lender's own site. Take your time; nothing is final yet.
- Accept or walk awayTo accept, you complete the lender's application and sign its agreement electronically. The lender may run a hard inquiry at this stage. Declining costs nothing.
- Receive funds from the lenderIf approved and signed, the lender sends funds by direct deposit, often as soon as the next business day and sometimes the same day.
We stay out of the loan itself. We do not decide who qualifies, set the APR or send money. Our job ends once your request reaches lenders and you can see whether any of them made an offer. From there, the lender handles the application, the agreement, the deposit and every payment.
What information does the request form ask for?
The form asks for the loan amount and purpose, your name, contact details, date of birth, address, income, employment, bank account and Social Security number. Lenders need these to check identity and review personal loans.
| Question | Why lenders ask |
|---|---|
| Loan amount ($500 to $5,000) and purpose | Helps match you with lenders that offer that size and type of personal loan. |
| Name, date of birth, email and phone | Confirms identity and lets the lender contact you about an offer. |
| Home address and time at address | Determines which state rules apply and which lenders are licensed there. |
| Income source, amount and pay frequency | Shows whether a monthly payment fits your budget. |
| Employer or other income details | Helps the lender understand how steady your income is. |
| Bank account and routing number | Needed to deposit funds and, if you agree, to set up automatic payments. |
| Social Security number | Used to confirm identity and review your credit file. |
Answer every question as it appears on your official records. If your bank account lists your full middle name, use it on the form too. Small mismatches between your request and your ID or bank records are one of the most common reasons a lender pauses a review to ask for more information.
Pick the amount you actually need rather than the largest one shown. A smaller request can be easier for lenders to approve and costs less in interest. If you are not sure, the personal loan calculator shows how amount and term change the monthly payment.
Which documents should you have ready to get cash today?
Keep a government-issued photo ID, a recent pay stub or benefits letter, and your bank login or a recent statement nearby. Lenders may ask for them after you accept an offer, and quick replies help avoid delays.
- Photo ID: a driver's license, state ID card or passport that is not expired.
- Proof of income: a recent pay stub, benefits award letter, or bank statements showing regular deposits if you are self-employed.
- Bank access: some lenders confirm your account through a secure bank login; others accept a statement or a voided check.
- Proof of address: occasionally requested if the address on your ID is out of date, such as a utility bill or lease.
If you hope to get cash today or by the next business day, gather these before you start. A lender cannot release funds until it has finished its own checks, and the clock often stops while it waits for a missing document. Clear phone photos usually work, as long as all four corners are visible and the text is readable.
Basic eligibility varies by lender, but most look for an age of 18 or older (19 in Alabama and Nebraska), a US address, a checking account in your name and steady income. Our eligibility page explains each requirement.
What can you expect from today cash offers?
Offers for personal loans in this range usually run from $500 to $5,000, over 6 to 36 months, at about 8% to 35.99% APR. Your actual terms depend on the lender, your credit, your income and your state.
Credit tier has the largest effect on price. As a rough guide, excellent credit (720 to 850) often sees about 8% to 16% APR, good credit (690 to 719) about 14% to 22%, fair credit (630 to 689) about 18% to 30%, and scores below 630 about 25% to 35.99%. The rates page explains what else moves the number.
Three hand-offs happen after you press submit, and none of them runs on our schedule. The lender reviews the request, often reaching a decision within minutes; you read and sign the agreement; then the lender's payment process and your bank's posting cycle move the deposit, which commonly arrives the next business day and sometimes the same day. A weekend, a bank holiday or a request for an extra pay stub can add days.
A $1,000 loan over 18 months at 27.99% APR would cost about $68.67 a month, $1,236.06 in total and $236.06 in interest. This is an estimate for illustration, not an offer.
Not every today cash request receives an offer. If no lender in the network can help, you will see a message saying so. That result does not appear on your credit report, and you can look at other options such as asking the company you owe for a payment plan or borrowing a smaller amount later.
How do you compare personal loan offers before signing?
Compare the APR, monthly payment, total repaid, origination fee and term of each personal loan offer side by side. The lowest monthly payment is not always the cheapest loan, because a longer term adds interest.
- APR first. For offers of the same length, the lower APR is cheaper, because APR includes interest and certain fees.
- Total repaid. Multiply the monthly payment by the number of months. A $2,000 loan at 27.99% APR costs about $2,316.00 over 12 months but about $2,634.48 over 24 months.
- Amount deposited. If the lender takes an origination fee from the loan, you receive less than you borrow. Make sure the deposit still covers what you need.
- Payment flexibility. Check whether you can choose or move the due date and whether early payoff carries a fee.
- Lender reputation. Look the lender up with your state regulator and in the CFPB complaint database before you sign.
Take your time even if you need cash today. An offer usually stays open for a few days, and reading the full agreement takes only a few minutes. Our guide to comparing personal loan offers side by side has a worksheet-style walkthrough, and the compare lenders page explains what sets lenders apart.
How is your today cash request kept private?
Your request travels over an encrypted connection and is shared only with lenders and service providers that help process it. We never sell your Social Security number or bank details to unrelated marketers.
Lenders in the network receive the details they need to review your request and, if they choose, make an offer. Service providers such as hosting, identity and fraud-prevention tools handle data on our behalf under contract. The privacy policy lists every category of recipient and explains your choices, including how to ask us to delete your data.
You may receive emails or texts from lenders after you submit. You can reply STOP to any text or use the unsubscribe link in an email. If anyone contacts you claiming to be us and asks for an upfront fee, a gift card or a wire transfer, do not pay; legitimate lenders include their fees in the loan terms.
When does a quick personal loan make sense, and when not?
A personal loan can make sense for a one-time cost with a clear payoff plan, such as a car repair or a medical bill. It is a poor fit for covering recurring shortfalls every month.
Before you submit, ask yourself whether the monthly payment will still fit if your hours drop or a bill arrives early. If the answer is shaky, a shorter term on a smaller amount, a payment plan from the provider, or help from a local assistance program may serve you better. When the numbers do work, a today cash request is free, takes about five minutes and leaves the final decision with you.
